Eighteen years in Australia: from first office to 14-project portfolio
Risen Energy Australia was established in 2008. Today the portfolio spans 14 Australian projects, a 10-year BHP PPA and ARENA-backed storage.
Risen Energy (Australia) was established in 2008 — making 2026 the eighteenth year of local operations. What began as a sales presence has grown into one of the more substantial local footprints of any global manufacturer:
- Offices in Melbourne (2014) and Brisbane (2018)
- An accredited distribution channel program running since 2017
- 14 Australian projects, from the 214 MW Woolooga Solar Farm in Queensland to community microgrids in Western Australia
- Development of WA’s largest solar installation at completion — the 100 MW Merredin Solar Farm — and a 10-year power purchase agreement with BHP signed in 2021
- ARENA funding granted in 2022 for the Bungama BESS project in South Australia
The same period saw the global group ship its 118th gigawatt and hold Tier-1 status — scale that now comes with eighteen years of local people, local stock and locally serviced warranties.
