eTron 5 MWh BESS deliveries span six countries — and counting

Risen’s containerised 5 MWh liquid-cooled ESS now has delivered references in the United States, Japan, Germany, Latvia, Ukraine and Finland.

Risen’s eTron 5 MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system — the same unit offered to Australian utility projects — has built a global delivery record across six countries.

The headline reference: a 40 MW / 401 MWh grid-side installation in California commissioning in early 2026, providing frequency regulation and ancillary services. Further eTron 5 MWh deliveries span Japan (10 MWh and a customised 8 MWh system), Germany, Latvia, Ukraine and Finland — all serving frequency and peak regulation on 50 Hz and 60 Hz grids alike.

Risen’s broader storage fleet now exceeds 1.3 GWh delivered in the United States alone, with roughly 330 MWh of grid-services capacity in the United Kingdom and major grid-side installations in China up to 200 MW / 400 MWh.
